Visiting Graves and Reciting the Quran and Praying Near the Graves:

Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem
Allahumma Swalli Alaa Sayyidina Muhammadin wa Alaa Aali Sayyidina Muhammadin Wa Sallim

In Islam:

It is obligatory to protect the graves of the believers, and it is an act of reverence ( and Naseeha) to build tombs over the graves of the Prophets and Pious!

Allah Almighty Says in the Quran:

Quran 18:21 وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَعْثَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّـهِ حَقٌّ وَأَنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا إِذْ يَتَنَازَعُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَمْرَهُمْ ۖ فَقَالُوا ابْنُوا عَلَيْهِم بُنْيَانًا ۖ رَّبُّهُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ ۚ قَالَ الَّذِينَ غَلَبُوا عَلَىٰ أَمْرِهِمْ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيْهِم مَّسْجِدًا ﴿٢١﴾ 

Quran 18:21 And similarly, We caused them to be found that they [who found them] would know that the promise of Allah is truth and that of the Hour there is no doubt. [That was] when they disputed among themselves about their affair and [then] said, “Construct over them a structure. Their Lord is most knowing about them.” Said those who prevailed in the matter, “We will surely take [for ourselves] over them a masjid.”

Salafis miqoute Hadiths and say it is not allowed to pray near the grave nor build tombs!

‘A’isha reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said during his illness from which he never recovered: Allah cursed the jews and the christians that they took the graves of their prophets as mosques. She (‘A’isha) reported: Had it not been so, his (Prophet’s) grave would have been in an open place, but it could not be due to the fear that it may not be taken as a mosque. (Sahih Muslim Book 4, Hadith 1079)

The Hadith, in fact says that a Tomb was built on the Grave of the Prophet (alaihiswalathu wa salam) so that no body could take it as a Mosque,  Because is forbidden to stand on the graves of the believers. So then think about the graves of the Prophets! It is a disrespect to stand on the graves of the Prophets and pious. It is the reason Allah cursed the Jews and the Christians for standing on the graves of their prophets. So the tomb was made over the graves, so none will stand on it even mistakenly! But square heads don’t understand the context of this Hadith!. 

In Islam, in the saved creed (Main body i.e Jamah and A’immah) it is permissible to visit graves of the Muslims and offer Dua (invocation) and prayers there.

Abdullah b. Buraida reported on the authority of his father that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said this: I prohibited you from visiting the graves, but (now) you may visit them, and I prohibited you (from eating) the flesh of sacrific- ed animals beyond three days, but now keep it as long as you like. I prohibited you from the use of Nabidh except (that preoared) in dry waterskins. Now drink (Nabidh prepared in any utensil), but do not drink when it becomes intoxicant. (Sahih Muslim Book 22, Hadith 4866)

Abu Huraira (R.A) reported: The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) visited the grave of his mother and he wept, and moved others around him to tears, and said: I sought permission from my Lord to beg forgiveness for her but it was not granted to me, and I sought permission to visit her grave and it was granted to motel So visit the graves, for that makes you mindful of death. (Sahih Muslim Book 4, Hadith 2130)

Narrated Talhah ibn Ubaydullah: Rabi’ah ibn al-Hudayr said: I did not hear Talhah ibn Ubaydullah narrating any tradition from the Apostle of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) except one tradition. I (Rabi’ah ibn AbuAbdurRahman) asked: What is that? He said: We went out along with the Apostle of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) who was going to visit the graves of the martyrs. When we ascended Harrah Waqim, and then descended from it, we found there some graves at the turning of the valley. We asked: Apostle of Allah, are these the graves of our brethren? He replied: graves of our companions. When we came to the graves of martyrs, he said: These are the graves of our brethren. (Sunan Abu Dawood Book 10, Hadith 2038)

Reciting the Holy Quran near the Grave:

Ibn Abbas (Radiyallahu Anhu) narrated that a Companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah Be upon him) erected a tent over a grave unknowingly. When he realised there is a grave beneath the place of his tent he recited Sura Al Mulk. And Prophet (alaihiswalathu wa Salam) attested his action and said: ‘it is a prevention, it is a salvation delivering from the punishment of the grave”.

Whabaism/Salafis is the way of Jahiliya (the way of confusion and misguidance)

Another square head wahabi/Salafi preacher in their Huda TV (Kufr TV) says it is not permissible to read Quran at the Grave of a Muslim!

The Salafis and Wahabis claim to follow Quran Hadith and understanding of Sahaba, but they are liars ,they are not its legitimate followers. They are deceivers . The Quran says about this false “Islahi” movement!

Quran 2:7-8 Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment. And of the people are some who say, “We believe in Allah and the Last Day,” but they are not believers.

They are not the People of Tazkiya (Tasawwuf) and Purity:

Quran 2:1  In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie.

They call themselves Islahi (Reformers)

Quran 2:11 nd when it is said to them, “Do not cause corruption on the earth,” they say, “We are but reformers.”

But In Islam, the Mujaddid (An Imam sent by Allah in every century, see Sunan Abu Dawood) do reformation, So Allah Almighty calls this sect as Mufsidoon (Corrupters) 

Quran 2:12 Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not.

They do not believe in Islam as the Main body (Jamah) and the A’immah of Muslims believed!

Quran 2:13 And when it is said to them, “Believe as the people have believed,” they say, “Should we believe as the foolish have believed?” Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they know [it] not.

The Muslims in the time of Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) used to commemorate the death of their ancestors!

When Muslims worship Allah Almighty and pray to Allah at the Graves, this people abuse Muslims as “Mushrik and Grave worshippers”!

It is because the hypocrisy and sickness of their heart , that they slander the Muslims!

Quran 63:1-2 When the hypocrites come to you, [O Muhammad], they say, “We testify that you are the Messenger of Allah .” And Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars. They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah . Indeed, it was evil that they were doing.

Be with the Truthful, isolate from liars and deceivers:

Allah Almighty does not want you to be a follower of lying Wahabis!

Quran 9:119 O ye who believe! fear Allah and be with the truthful.

Quran 45:23 Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah ? Then will you not be reminded?

Sahih Muslim: It has been narrated on the authority of hudhaifa b. al-Yaman who said: People used to ask the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) about the good times, but I used to ask him about bad times fearing lest they overtake me. I said: Messenger of Allah, we were in the midst of ignorance and evil, and then God brought us this good (time through Islam). Is there any bad time after this good one? He said: Yes. I asked: Will there be a good time again after that bad time? He said: Yes, but therein will be a hidden evil. I asked: What will be the evil hidden therein? He said: (That time will witness the rise of) the people who will adopt ways other than mine and seek guidance other than mine. You will know good points as well as bad points. I asked: Will there be a bad time after this good one? He said: Yes. (A time will come) when there will be people standing and inviting at the gates of Hell. Whoso responds to their call they will throw them into the fire. I said: Messenger of Allah, describe them for us. He said: All right. They will be a people having the same complexion as ours and speaking our language. I said: Messenger of Allah, what do you suggest if I happen to live in that time? He said: You should stick to the main body of the Muslims and their leader. I said: If they have no (such thing as the) main body and have no leader? He said: Separate yourself from all these factions, though you may have to eat the roots of trees (in a jungle) until death comes to you and you are in this state. (Book 020, Hadith 4553)

It was Wahabism that appeared in the end of Khilafat, the last Khilafat was Osmanilya Khilafa, the Hanafi -Sufi creed. Wahabis emerged at the end ofKhilafa, bringing up Arab tribalism and nationalism. They invited people to salafism and salafi way become official religion of this tribal Arab states such as Saudi Arabia!. This is the way Nabi alaihiswalathu wa salam said, it will lead people to Hell!. Prophet alaihiswalathu wa salam said to adhere to the Jamah and leader. Which was Ottoman Khilafat at that time. After that there is no main body or Khalifa in Arabia, So Nabi alaihiswalathu wa salam did not say to follow the group that come from Arabia after the Khilafa , but Nabi warned about them! They are from Arabs and speak Arab language ! This is indeed Salafi wahabi way, because there is no other moment emerged from Arabia that fit into the description of this Hadith apart from Salafi movement and how it spread the whole world with the funding from this post-Khilafat rulers!. This is the way of the horn of Satan from Najd and the way of one eyed Dajjal that appear in the mask of Islam and in the label of the salaf salih (in the label of the the best of people)!

So it is clear from the Hadiths that the Wahabis (Salafis) emerged from the East of Hejaz (Madinah) from Najd  to avert people from the true path.  They are one of the misguided sects among 72 sects!  You can read more by clicking the link below:
