KISSING HAND AND FEET OF PIOUS:
Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem
Allahumma Swalli Alaa Sayyidina Muhammadin Wa Ala Aali Sayyidina Muhammadin Wa Sallim
Muslims in the Sufi way are trained to be humble and respectful to their elders and pious Muslim scholars. And Islam allows acts of reverence to the pious and elders, such as kissing hands and feet of the pious. However, some misguided sects among Muslims slander and attack Sufis for doing such reverence, they say Sufi Muslims and Sunni Muslims committing Shirk (polytheism) by revering holy ones!
What is shirk? To commit an act of worship to anyone else other than Allah is Shirk, if that action is permitted only for ALLAH, such as five times ritual Prayers, our own life (as the statement in the Quran 6:162 says that our life and death must be for Allah)!. Do the misguided sects believe Allah Almighty has hand and feet and kissing others hand and feet is shirk then?!
Below Hadiths refutes such misguided sects and their scholars!.
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar (R.A) : Ibn Umar (R.A) told a story and said: We then came near the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and kissed his hand. (Sunan Abu Dawud Book 41, Hadith 5204)
FATHER AND DAUGHTER/ CHILDREN KISSING EACH OTHER:
Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin (R.A): I never saw anyone more like the Apostle of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in respect of gravity, calm deportment, pleasant disposition – according to al-Hasan’s version: in respect of talk and speech. Al-Hasan did not mention gravity, calm deportment, pleasant disposition – than Fatimah, may Allah honour her face. When she came to visit him (the Prophet) he got up to (welcome) her, took her by the hand, kissed her and made her sit where he was sitting; and when he went to visit her, she got up to (welcome) him, took him by the hand, kissed him, and made him sit where she was sitting. (Sunan Abu Dawood , Book 41, Hadith 5198)

A Warning about those who accuse Muslims shirk (Polytheism) for “Kissing hands and feet”.
Also, some misguided sects make out that Muslims making prostration to Pious Scholars, when the intention is to kiss their feet for “RESPECT” NOT FOR “Worship”!
Wazi Ibn Amir said: “We approached [Madinah] and we we were told: “This is the Messenger of Allah, upon him be peace, we took his arms and legs and kissed him all over”. (Adab Al Mufrad 978) (This Hacdith is also related by Abu Dawud)
Suhayb said: “I saw Ali kissing had and feel of Al Abbas” (Adab Al Mufrad 979)
This are the views of the true “Ahlul Hadith” and true salaf salih , so it is time to forsake false salafis and false ahlul hadith!
